Otawala Festival

Otawala is a new multidisciplinary art and music festival in Mikkeli, Eastern Finland. The festival will be held on August 2-3, 2024 in the beautiful surroundings of the village of Otava - about 13 km from the city center. Bus rides from Mikkeli and camping options make it possible to come to the event from even further away. At the Otawala Festival, there is also a celebration of flavors as the local D.O. Saimaa producers pamper festival-goers with their delicacies. Available are taste experiences from local lamb, pork, organic beef steak, vendace fish, vegetables, and cheeses, prepared and served by the producers and Chef of D.O. Saimaa, Ilkka Arvola. The highlight of the festival evenings is the juicy grain-fed pork roasting on a spit. Come join the festival to also celebrate the feast of flavors and enjoy the best summer offerings! The delicacies are prepared by Putkisalon Kartano, Kuvalan Liha, Salmelan Tila, Luomutila Siiriäinen, Järvi-Suomen Kalatuote, and Kappelin Juustola. The festival offers an interesting selection of bands, local food, artisanal beers, animation and media arts, performances, and much more.
