Located 7 km from Mikkeli marketplace in the Lake Saimaa region, the atmospheric Kekkola Landhaus Manor, surrounded by forests and fields and situated on a lakeshore, is the ideal place for relaxation be it with friends, family or work colleagues. Dating back to 1920, the Manor is steeped in local history and offers country house style accommodation in 14 individual rooms, sleeping 1-2 people with option for extra beds for families. 4 rooms have private bathroom amenities, 2 have private toilets and the rest have shared bathroom amenities. Hosted by German-Finnish couple Manuela and Janne, you can enjoy the homely feel of Kekkola Landhaus and the varied activities on offer. There are plenty of local trails for hiking or skiing, water activities e.g. stand up paddling, rowing, fishing, canoeing and swimming. There is a tennis court and riding stables offering lessons on the grounds. We also organize wellbeing events like yoga or physiotherapy. Our restaurant offers seasonal menus of high quality food made from local ingredients with a German-Italian twist. Our Italian head chef Marco appreciates the purity of Finnish ingredients and nature, which he wants to combine with the familiar flavours of Sardinian and Tuscan cuisine. You can also learn how to make proper Italian pasta on one of Marco’s cookery courses! We also organize meetings and celebrations like weddings and birthdays. The ideal way to round the day off is relaxing in our sauna world comprising of 2 saunas, a large relaxation area with a fireplace and a woodburning hot tub outside. Available for private hire, the larger sauna can accommodate up to 20 persons and the smaller one up to 6 persons. Special sauna menus are also available.
