Cycle Tour around lake Saimaa from Lappeenranta

The present main building was built in 1906. Currently, it is a lively event venue, hotel, and caravan park. Sahanlahti resort is located in Puumala in a historical sawmill community. The first sawmill of Sahanlahti was established in 1740’s and it was among the first ones of its kind in the Saimaa area. The last sawmill was pulled down in 1936. To respect Sahanlahti’s historical heritage, the buildings of the resort have been named after old sawmill workers Tiittalan Kartano is located in Sulkava. The farm has been populated since the 15th century and the present main building was built in 1846. The house has been completely re-furnished during the last 20 years respecting the style of an old manor house. Neitsytniemen kartano is located in Imatra. The present manor house was built in 1900 and designed by Karl-August Wrede but also the history of this manor dates back to the 18th century. Note!
